Our Story

How it all started...

Redemption Fellowship is the story of two churches who came together in November of 2015 to minister the gospel to this community.
Riverton Heights Presbyterian Church was organized in September of 1930. It was a little country church ministering to a group of small farmers and ranchers. Boeing, Southcenter Mall, and SeaTac Airport changed all of that. Sometime in the 80s it became an independent community church and continued to minister to an ever-changing neighborhood.
Westside Christian Fellowship was an Evangelical Free Church that was planted in September of 1989 in Burien, WA under the direction of Pastor Patrick Foutz. They ministered in the Burien community until the merger in 2015.

Expanding the vision...

Over the years we have established multiple partnerships with many churches and Christian non-profits to minister in our community. Currently we are in partnership with a development company to establish a campus that ministers to our diverse neighborhood by providing housing, job training, and transitional assistance to the many immigrants who have moved into our neighborhood.

Where we are headed...

Within the next few years the campus will change dramatically. All of our current buildings will disappear and several new buildings will go up, including an apartment complex and new church building, along with some small businesses. We are establishing a community to minister to the incoming immigrants flooding into SeaTac, Tukwila, and Burien. Come help us envision a church that is many cultures. Come participate in a loving environment where people belong and grow. It might not be church as your used to, but it may be just what is needed to show our world what heaven will look like!
